Travel Program

Day 1: Turin
Arrival at Turin airport or railway station and transfer to a downtown hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Turin
Full day Turin city sightseeing tour with the following visits: Valentino Park and medieval centre (it is a reproduction of a typical medieval village surrounded by fortified walls and a rock), Basilica of Superga (an impressive church built on the Superga hill, an ideal view point to admire all the beauty of the city and a renowned pilgrimage destination), the Royal Palace (a majestic building of XVII century, former residence of the kings of Italy that preserves the marks left by the many famous architects and artists who worked in Turin), Turin’s Duomo (this cathedral is the only example of Renaissance architecture of the town and hosts the Holy Shroud). Dinner and overnight in Turin.

Day 3: Venaria Reale
Transfer to Venaria Reale and visit of the Royal Palace, which shows the history of the Savoy family, the old European dynasty that ruled in Piedmont for nearly a thousand years. The palace is surrounded by a beautiful garden that can be visited on foot or by an original little train and by a large park named “Mandria” where you can have a lovely walk or rent a bike to visit its hidden treasures. Back to your hotel in Turin, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Racconigi/Turin
Transfer to Racconigi and visit of its Royal Castle, a former summer residence of the Savoy family, today Unesco World Heritage. The castle overlooks an impressive park with a lake, small rivers, hills and lines of trees. Transfer back to Turin and visit of the city’s symbol: the Mole Antonelliana, where from an altitude of 85 metres reachable by a panoramic lift, you can get a breathtaking view of the town. The Museum of Cinema is also hosted inside the Mole Antonelliana. Back to your hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Turin/Agliè
Visit of Palazzo Madama, a building containing two thousands years of Piedmont history, erected by the Romans and now hosting the City’s Museum of Old Art. Transfer to Agliè and visit of the majestic residence of the Savoy’s dating back to XII century. The castle is surrounded by a large park, English and Italian style gardens and artistic fountains. Visit of Agliè’s medieval centre and back to Turin and your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Turin
Visit of the Egyptian Museum, known worldwide and second only to the Cairo’s one, dedicated to the art and culture of ancient Egypt. In the afternoon, walking tour of the city centre to discover its typical little food shops with a chance to taste some traditional products.

transfer to Turin airport or railway station and end of our services.
